What We’re All Missing
Introduction
This Easter, we explored the story of Nicodemus and the truth that many of us are searching for something more. Jesus meets us right where we are and offers the one thing that truly satisfies—a restored relationship with Him. Because He lives, you are invited into a new life filled with hope and purpose.

Study Questions
1. What’s something you’ve bought that you were convinced would make you happier or make life easier only to realize later it didn’t really change anything?
2. Read John 3:1-2. Nicodemus had knowledge, status, and influence, yet still came to Jesus searching. Why do you think he was being so secretive? Why do you think people can “have it all” and still feel something is missing?
3. Last week, Pastor Keven said, “We were designed specifically to have the hole in our hearts filled by a relationship with God.” What are some common things people use to try to fill that hole, and what have you personally turned to that didn’t ultimately satisfy?
4. The sermon described sin as a corruption that is fundamentally incompatible with God. Why is it important to understand sin this way? What is the ultimate result of this incompatibility?
5. Read John 3:16-17. Jesus is not just part of the solution but the only solution. What does this tell us about God’s love for us? What does this tell us about our ability to fix ourselves? Have you been trying to fix yourself?
6. Read John 3:19-21. What did Jesus mean by saying people sometimes reject the light because they love darkness? Why do people resist truth even when they know it’s right?
7. CALL TO ACTION: Memorize John 3:16. Share with someone something in your life you’re still trying to satisfy with worldly things. Then take one step this week to respond to Jesus, whether that’s beginning a relationship with Him, surrendering an area of your life, or inviting someone else to hear the good news of what He has done.
