Introduction
What does God expect from every believer? This message reminds us that following Christ is more than believing—it’s living with purpose. Discover the biblical call to invest in the body of Christ, grow in your faith, and intentionally pour into the lives of others. As we faithfully use the gifts God has given us, we become part of His work of building a healthy church and advancing His kingdom.

I. To Invest in the Body. Ephesians 4:14-16
· When we stay consumers and never transition to investment, then we short-circuit the church ’s ability to do ministry.
II. To Invest in Your Faith. Philippians 2:12-13
· If we neglect our spiritual selves and never invest in our faith, we are neglecting a core attribute of what makes us human.
III. To Invest in Other. 1 Thessalonians 2:8
· When you invest in the lives of people, you can’t help but share the things that are important to you.
Study Questions
1. What is a team, group, or club you’ve been a part of where you truly felt like you belonged and had an important role to play? What made that experience so different from just being a passive member or a spectator?
2. Read Ephesians 4:14–16. How does Paul describe the church as a body, and what happens when “each individual part” is working properly? What happens when a part disconnects?
3. Last week, Pastor Keven said, “When we stay consumers and never transition to investment, then we short-circuit the church’s ability to do ministry.” What’s the biggest challenge in shifting from a consumer mindset to investment? What happens if the majority of people in the church are consumers?
4. Read Philippians 2:12–13. What does Paul mean when he says to “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling”? How does verse 13 keep us from thinking spiritual growth is only about our own effort?
5. Read Hebrews 4:16. Knowing that “you” in Philippians 2:12 is plural, how does this Hebrews passage connect and give clarity to the Philippians verses? Why is investing in the body essential for investing in our spiritual health?
6. Read Matthew 28:19–20. How does shifting our view of evangelism and discipleship away from assignments or projects to an authentic investment in the lives of others change how we read the Great Commission? How does it change how you think about sharing your faith?
7. CALL TO ACTION: Memorize 1 Thessalonians 2:8. Share with someone you trust an area where you need to invest more. Is it the body, your faith, or others? Take a step this week to connect with a ministry or to invest in someone relationally.
