The Bread of Life
Introduction
Jesus is the Bread of Life, and in Him we find everything our hearts truly need. Whatever this life may bring, He is our strength for the journey, faithfully sustaining us, holding us close, and carrying us toward the promise of eternal life.

· We have to spiritually process Jesus just like our physical bodies process food, otherwise we have missed the entire point.
Study Questions
1. What is a comfort food from your childhood or a favorite meal that always brings a sense of peace or nostalgia whenever you eat it?
2. Read John 6:30-40. How does God’s provision in the wilderness point to Jesus? How does Jesus shift the focus from the bread God gave to the Son God gives?
3. Read John 6:37-40. What does Jesus promise for those who come to him and believe in him? How does this passage encourage us when our faith feels weak or fragile?
4. Read John 6:41-46. Why did the crowd struggle with Jesus’s claim that he came down from heaven? How can familiarity with Jesus sometimes become a hinderance to genuine faith?
5. Last week, pastor Keven explained that theology is biography. What does that mean? Read Isaiah 54:13. What does it look like today to “listen and learn” from what God has revealed in Scripture and to let that reshape faulty theology?
6. Read John 6:47-51. What is the significance that the Israelites who ate the manna died, and that Jesus calls himself the bread of life? What does it mean to internalize or “eat” the sacrifice of Jesus instead of merely admiring, browsing, or grazing on Christianity?
7. Memorize John 6:35. Share with your group or a trusted friend one place where your past experiences may have shaped your view of God more than Scripture has.Take one concrete step this week to “eat and live,” allowing Christ to shape places in your life that you’ve kept from him.
